June 2010 | TFGB part of Ugandan REDD strategy
Gerald Kairu of Ecotrust (pictured), is helping to develop the Ugandan REDD strategy. Gerald, who is the technical manager of the Plan Vivo project, is part of the Ugandan REDD working group and will assist the government in preparing its REDD Readiness Preparation Proposal (R-PP) for submission to the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility.
The TFGB project was showcased during the December 2007 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) as an ‘examplary people’s initiative’. Prince Charles was on of those to meet with ECOTRUST staff (pictured).
